HEALTHY PEANUT BUTTER RICE CRISPY TREATS!

The Perfect Easy + Healthy Treat!

My grandmother used to make rice crispy treats for every single special occasion. It was her thing!

I still remember the recipe by heart and can vividly imagine the taste. She would melt a TON of butter in a big pot, then melt in the marshmallows, then stir in the rice crispies. She would add into a VERY generously greased dish, press it down with wet hands, and let cool.

We would lick the excess crispies off our hands. A rare thing to witness, as my grandmother is VERY manner-conscious.

So as an adult, I stumbled upon this recipe when attending my friend’s party who had made vegan rice crispies! I tried them, and went to heaven.

So here is my photo story recipe of this delicious treat!


JUST THREE INGREDIENTS:

(option to use any other kind of nut butter or sub honey for the brown rice syrup)
